What did I tell you? Tribal handbags are hot and they are turning up everywhere! So it is definitely not too late to grab yourself a fun and festive piece for the upcoming summer season! What I find interesting about these lovely bags you see pictured here, however, is that they are a little more authentic. What do I mean by that? These bags are from the Wayuu Taya Foundation, a non-profit organization that is working to improve the lives of Latin-American indigenous people. Their primary concerns are extreme poverty, malnutrition, high child mortality rates, waterborne diseases, and educational deficiencies. Their mission is to help these communities while maintaining and respecting their beliefs, traditions, and culture. Their bags are made by Wayuu indigenous women at the foundation’s women center that educates women on parenting, family planning, nutrition, and hygiene. All proceeds go toward helping the foundation achieve their mission.What I like about these bags is that they are bright and colorful. I love the woven design on the strap. Plus the free ends were left hanging at the ends of the strap creating a nice little rainbow of fringe. The drawstring pouch styling is super cute and perfect for those casual summer days. Pair this bag with a solid color maxi dress for the perfect look!

Tory Burch Audra Wallet

I’m so glad that the big handbag trend is over! I guess I’m just such a minimal bag person, don’t really need to carry everything with me while out and about running errands or grabbing drinks with friends. A gorgeous continental wallet is all that I really need. One of my favorites is Tory Burch’s Audra. It’s sleek and simple and topped off with Tory Burch’s signature charm detail, which I absolutely love.The only problem that I have with continental wallets is that most of the time they come with so many card slots – this one comes with 10. It’s insane, who has that many cards? I only carry 4 cards with me, max – ID, health insurance card, and two bank debit cards. Not really any need for so many slots. Of course I could always go for a smaller wallet, but I don’t like the look of those. Maddalena Marconi Hobo

I remember when tying a scarf onto your handbag was all the rage! The perfect accessory to accent your perfect bag! But it seems like this trend has faded a little bit. I don’t see people tying scarves onto their handbags nearly as often. Is it not cool anymore? Personally, I really like the look! So if it’s not considered cool anymore, then it certainly should be! Maybe the look just needs a little updating. I think it was this idea that attracted me to the Maddalena Marconi Suede Top Handle Bag!Here we have a simple suede hobo, perfect for everyday use. It is accented with a scarf shoulder strap, complete with beads and other cute little doodads. But then the scarf extends beyond the strap, trailing down the side of the bag in the form of a removable charm. Cute! Plus I love the watercolor floral print on the scarf material.  I don’t go to the beach very often, as it’s way too hot in Miami to the point you can barely breathe, but when I do I try to go as stylish as possible. I’m definitely one of those women that have designer beach goods like towels, dresses, umbrellas, sandals, bags etc. When I stumble on unique looking beach accessories I tend to want them including the Kate Spade New York “Westwind Drive Felice” Tote.Usually, I’m not a fan of gold or silver fashion accessories I always thought they were too gaudy looking but in the past year or so I’ve fallen in love! We’re glad to see that Alexander Wang has presented yet another fabulous design with those infamous oversized metal studs, the Morgan Hobo. They’re attractive, protective and give off such a chic vibe.I’ve always been a fan of the handy satchel style, but it’s the hobo look that truly wins me over. I’m a hopeless romantic and I have a severe obsession with hearts. Any fashion accessory that features a heart in it, I automatically love it. I’ve been looking to purchase a new handbag. As usual, I’m looking for a black leather handbag with gold hardware. This has been my go to style for handbags in the past 2 years or so, which is not refreshing feeling. In the past 4 years, I have seriously splurged on Louis Vuitton handbags and now I don’t use them at all. What a waste of money!I currently love the classic and simple style handbags. My style in clothes and shoes is changing to a more grownup and classy look. In my opinion, nothing completes a classy outfit more than a stunning handbag.When I saw the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic “Francesca” Tote, I was instantly in love. The price set me back a little, but it was everything I wanted in a handbag. It’s simple, gorgeous and can go with just about everything. It’s also one of those bags that you can use all year long, which is always a good thing especially in a recession. The more you can use a bag, the more worth the money it is!The bag does come with a detachable shoulder strap, which I think is completely unnecessary. In my opinion, the handbag looks fabulous carried by the handles but as well all know I’ve never been a fan of shoulder straps. To me, they just make most bags look like a mess but everyone has their own sense of style.Shoulder strap or not this purse is gorgeous! I’m sure it comes as no surprise when I say I love black and white fashion. Accessories, shoes, handbags & clothes, if it’s black and white I most likely will love it. I see black and white fashion as sophisticated, classy and definitely stylish. Some people say I’m too close minded when it comes to my style, I say their too open minded. Everyone has their own tastes, right?When I think of black and white polka dot handbags, I instantly think of Kate Spade. Bag Color Trend: Mellow Yellow

Winter has just begun, but the fashion world is already thinking about spring. Every year, it seems there is a new IT color. For Spring 2012, I’m going to guess that color is Lemon Yellow! Why? My first clue was the fact that online shops are already littered with this sunny hue. Clothing, shoes, accessories… you name it. I’m not sure if I would be daring enough to wear a dress in this color. However, I do happen to think it looks dashing on a handbag. In fact, I have a Treesje Mini Asher in Lemon and I absolutely adore it. It’s bright, fun, and adds a little pop to those dreary winter months. Plus it looks so cheery with more colorful pieces during the spring and summer! So it looks like I’ll be carrying that bag with pride this year, even though it has already been well loved! I would say for the past three years or so, everything I’ve purchased or worn has been black and white. To me, those two colors are very classy together however it’s made my wardrobe kind of bland. I’m not gothic by any means but I do admit I need some color in my life! Even most of my handbags are black but I’m so ready for something colorful and pretty to add to my collection. Rebecca Minkoff never ceases to amaze me. The woman has been on fire lately with her designs and I’m absolutely loving one of her latest. The “Cheetah” Mini Affair Bag is adorable and definitely something I’d sport around for Spring.The funny part is, I’ve never been one into animal prints. In fact, I despise them. Animal prints have just never been my thing. I have a pair of leopard print high heels I bought about four years ago, and I still have yet to wear them!
