Michael Kors has released quite a few new handbags, and one of them is the MICHAEL Michael Kors “North/South Joplin” Tote. Don’t be fooled though, the “Joplin” handbag collection is not a new collection to Michael Kors. In fact, this same bag was available in black about a year or so ago. Even then, I thought it was gorgeous but I wasn’t able to get myself one. To see Michael Kors re-release this collection in different colors brought a smile to my face!I’m kind of happy this bag is currently not available in black. I always lean towards purchasing black bags, so if I really want the “Joplin” tote this time around I have to pick a different color or pass on it again. I’m not one for anything blue, but I’m obsessed with this handbag in navy blue. Lately, we’ve been seeing a nautical trend hit the fashion scene and navy blue compliments it well.The gold tone hardware looks beautiful on the navy blue leather and the shoulder strap adds to the beauty of the bag. Even the studs featured on the bottom sides of the bag pop out of the navy leather. What do you think about a bag within a bag? Might sound like nonsense to some, or like the latest and trendiest style to hit the purse world to others. Although Dolce & Gabbana isn’t the first house to present the bag-in-bag style, do meet their version, the ‘Miss Angie’ Shopper, new to their 2010 Cruise Collection.I can see how you can sway either way of giving this a thumbs up or thumbs down. You might see this as one elegant and feminine shopper, or simply an expensive interpretation of a drawstring laundry bag within a flowery tote bag. From a distance, it might be difficult to distinguish that the material of choice is in fact leather throughout, from the clinched drawstrings to the exterior shopper. Besides its quality, another reasonable feature to hike up the price on a luxury good is based on craftsmanship, and this bag has a bit more labor work to it than the usual, as the floral details found on this shopper are actually hand painted. I love the concept, even though this Dolce & Gabbana seems a bit too high maintenance for my lifestyle.
